City of Franklin Police Department Salary: Virginia Certified Police Officer

$36,821.00 - $52,681.00

Sign on bonus for Virginia certified Police Officers:

Virginia certified Police Officer with 0-5 years of service in Virginia, $3,000.00
Virginia certified Police Officer with over 5 years of service in Virginia, $5,000.00

Applicant Requirements:

An applicant must:

Be a U.S. citizen
Be 21 years of age
Pass a written and physical ability test
Possess a valid Virginia driver’s license, or be able to obtain one, with no negative points
Have no conviction for Driving under the influence (DUI)
Have 20/20 vision or correctable to 20/20 vision
Have weight in proportion to height
Have no convictions of felonies and/or misdemeanors
Pass an extensive background investigation
Pass a psychological, medical, drug screening and polygraph examination
Possess the ability to speak clearly, hear, analyze and react quickly to high stress situations
